Media Library Archive Conversion

Organizing and preserving a Media Library is critical for every organization. Audiovisual media need proper storage as well as an organized system for retrieval.

Videotape, photos, transparencies, film, and analog disc recordings are prone to deterioration. VHS tapes for example were only rated to last fifteen years.

Most older analog tapes stored in Media Libraries need to be transferred to a digital, archival medium.    With technological advances, all media formats eventually are phased out and the ability to playback can become compromised or extremely expensive to maintain.

AUA Digital Post Productions handles small to large audiovisual library conversion to digital and archival hard drives systems.  The larger the scale of the project the lower the per unit cost to transfer.  Some organizations may spread out over a few years while beginning to archive new additions digitally.
